WHEN DID AUTO DETAILING START

According to Autopia-CarCare.com auto detailing started in the early 1800's. 1800- In the small German town of Bischofsheim a carriage maker developed a wax based on animal fats to protect the black lacquer type paint that was applied to horse drawn carriages (Autopia 2002).
